چکیده

Botrytis cinerea, a causal agent of gray mold disease, is one the most destructive fungal pathogens that leads to substantial global economic crop losses, especially for tomato plants. The present study aims investigate inhibitory effect two microbial culture filtrates (BCA filtrate alone and combined with salicylic acid) Trichoderma longibrachiatum Pseudomonas sp. against phytopathogenic fungus B. cinerea on biochemical modifications, disease incidence, fruit quality parameters tomatoes were determined according tested treatments. results showed both fungi bacteria able solubilize phosphate produce IAA HCN. T. could hydrolytic enzymes (chitinase, protease, glucanase). Otherwise, capacity catalase amylase enzymes. Both inhibited hyphae growth cinerea. biocontrol efficacy, in vitro, was significant: up 50% terms inhibition rate at concentration 40%. seedlings’ promoted by separate preventive treatments each micro-organism filtrate. In addition, severity seedlings significantly reduced. Furthermore, treatment acid induced significant physiological changes firmness, juice yield, total protein, ROS enzyme activities. can be recommended as an effective biofungicide control under storage conditions.

Streptomyces nobilis C51 Suppresses Gray Mold Caused by Botrytis cinerea in Tomato

This study sought to develop a biological control agent against gray mold disease caused by Botrytis cinerea in tomato using a strain of Streptomyces, which showed significant antagonistic activity against B. cinerea. Such strain (C51) was screened by dual culture method from a total of 78 actinomycetes and was identified as Streptomyces nobilis by morphological, biochemical and molecular analy...

Metabolic Phenotype Characterization of Botrytis cinerea, the Causal Agent of Gray Mold

Botrytis cinerea, which causes gray mold, is an important pathogen in four important economic crops, tomato, tobacco, cucumber and strawberry, in China and worldwide. Metabolic phenomics data on B. cinerea isolates from these four crops were characterized and compared for 950 phenotypes with a BIOLOG Phenotype MicroArray (PM). The results showed that the metabolic fingerprints of the four B. ci...

Effectiveness of Different Classes of Fungicides on Botrytis cinerea Causing Gray Mold on Fruit and Vegetables

Botrytis cinerea is a necrotrophic pathogen causing a major problem in the export and post-harvest of strawberries. Inappropriate use of fungicides leads to resistance among fungal pathogens. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the sensitivity of B. cinerea to various classes of fungicide and to determine the effectiveness of different concentrations of commonly used fungicides. We thus eval...
